The Tractors Are Coming | American Agriculture Movement - Tractorcade 1979
“Never in the history of the United States had such a massive agriculture protest been staged.” Forty-five years ago in February, 1979, thousands of farmers from across the country formed a NATIONAL TRACTORCADE and converged in Washington, D.C. rallying Congress for parity, a fair price for their agriculture products. "Parity not charity!" This massive demonstration was formed by members of the American Agriculture Movement. Part 1 of their incredible story can be read in the Jan/Feb 2024 issue of Heritage Iron Magazine (3pointink.com/products/heritage-iron-issue-91?_pos=1&_sid=10d2271a1&_ss=r). In 1967, Allis-Chalmers installed hydraulic front wheel assist axles on ten of their tractors for test-marketing, but the D-21 FWA never went into production. While there are a couple other D-21s out there with FWA axles on them, they are not any of the first 10 built. Could this be one?? Go along with us as we try to piece together the puzzle in issue #74 - Mar/Apr 2021. Not a subscriber? Orde...

Heritage Iron Tractor Giveaway Featured on Max's Tractor Shed
I seen that tractor and plow when I was in fifth grade at Farm Progress show in 1976. Best thing ever for kid that young. Need more people like Jon.
It'd be nice to hear the engine instead of that muzak - it doesn't add any value
The cabin looks like an air traffic controller's booth 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
They are called “boots” not shoes.
Great video Sherry
Real deal. Americans are going to have to stand up. Rich men north of Richmond are seizing all our rights. Stand.
They don't want small farmers. They want mass corporation farms where they control the food.
Based on what I'm starting to see happening around the world with the WEF encouraging leaders to make some absurd rules that have the farmers and tractors lining up in the cities, I'd say you might wanna start dusting off some of those relics for a round two in DC🤷♂️🇺🇲
I remember sitting on the of 85 .at King s Mnt NC and seeing the tractor s came up 85 out of Sc
I was there. Didn't drive a tractor. Drove a pickup. Went in to DC on a Monday morning. Sure made a big traffic jam. Tractors almost made it to the Capital. The law enforcement knocked the fuel lines off the tractors that tried.
Bring it ON , America ! Love the tune too ! The world NEEDS Farmers ! We damned sure DON'T need politics , which feeds nobody but themselves ! Keep the farms , dump the politics ! Globally ! Rise Up , Take our Nations BACK ! Have a better tomorrow ! Farm it NOW !
Time for a revival!
Nice tractors
Mad to think I was driving these at 13 a two wheel drive 5288,it then got joined by a four wheel drive version which I also drove on occasion..my favourite tractor.
Merry Christmas!!!
LMAO!!!
Love the 5020s

you should come do video with 'Thunder acres" I also run salvage yard for oliver and white "faribo tractor parts
That's a John Deere with real nuts 🥜🌰🥜. Not like these transgender John Deere with yamar engine in them this is a genius keep doing what you doing
You seem to have some kind of interest in trans-gender, having brought it up in the comments. Care to expand on that?
The audio quality is flawless
That man sure does love his Detroit diesels!
Going this weekend to see these guys!
I was harvest Crew in Kansas in 1982 and 83 we had a farmhand chopper with a 6-92 Detroit with a 5-in straight pipe, two row 40-in three row 30 in
Any use of this tractor or simply wastage of diesel
I think this is a waste of money. They can do the same task using 4 normal tractors. It will reduce the capital cost from one million to one hundred thousand.
Very nice!
I'm trying to think of innovation IH offered in agriculture, and other then the mechanical reaper, I can't think of one
How can this be
That's not the first
My grandfather had 3 of these back in the 1970s in Arizona. He went and found a cab off a combine and fashioned around the drivers area and rigged up air conditioning. John Deere sent a team of engineers from the factory in Illinois to come look at what he had done and 2 years later the factory was kicking out new units with cabs and air-conditioning
Beautiful work! Always liked the 88 series, timeless styling. IH forever!
Tenho um sonho de trabalhar com um desses
THEIR COMING BACK
Yes those were the best. These computerized DEF machines we have now can get on your last nerve.🤬
Great video.. Thanks for sharing!!..
Good show,realy.
That was a great show!
Black Smoke Matters. Lol.
That is funny. No DEF included
That definitely makes me emotional 😊 Thanks!
Disappointing that there were no specs or backstory in the video fortunately there was some in the comments and I thank those who did so.
I worked on a station in the Northern Territory in the 80's , they had 6 of these with straight through pipes. Beautiful machine to operate. One drawback though the a/c was at knee level whereas the Versatile 1150's we had were at face level
What were you doing with that gear if you don’t mind me asking

I wish as a dairyman could afford to do this with my equipment.
That 8 wheel Massey was wicked cool
Love the mascot for your channel 👍👍 I need sticker of that for my hard hat , and that was one sweet sweet D-21 FWA👌
