I was there. Didn't drive a tractor. Drove a pickup. Went in to DC on a Monday morning. Sure made a big traffic jam. Tractors almost made it to the Capital. The law enforcement knocked the fuel lines off the tractors that tried.

My grandfather had 3 of these back in the 1970s in Arizona. He went and found a cab off a combine and fashioned around the drivers area and rigged up air conditioning. John Deere sent a team of engineers from the factory in Illinois to come look at what he had done and 2 years later the factory was kicking out new units with cabs and air-conditioning

I worked on a station in the Northern Territory in the 80's , they had 6 of these with straight through pipes. Beautiful machine to operate. One drawback though the a/c was at knee level whereas the Versatile 1150's we had were at face level
